A leading UK lifestyle magazine was looking to enhance it’s subscription
service by offering internet-based direct debit sign-up directly via the
magazine’s website. However, the finance function did not want to
increase back-office processing at the same time. The magazine approached us, a
market leader in automated direct debit services in the UK. We had the
experience in this area to effectively implement this service on time, on
budget and to specification.
the solution
Direct debit instructions are generated through the magazine’s website,
which is connected directly to the secure Harlands Group ddms set-up and
verification service. The system is responsible for generating and storing all
information related to customer accounts and payment transactions. The service
manages all new and amended direct debit instructions, the collection of
payments via BACS, and the representation and notification of failed
instructions
